The Barnstable County Bar Association was established and incorporated in 1918.

The Barnstable County Bar Association is constituted for the purpose of encouraging cordial intercourse among the members of the bar of Barnstable County; to promote and uphold a high standard of professional conduct and duty; to facilitate the administration of justice; and to further the principles of good citizenship and good government.

Any member of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts residing or practicing law in Barnstable County, who is in good standing, may become a member of the Association.
